Okay, I know we have only lived in this house since October, but with One a Day in May quickly approaching and my collection increasing by the minute it was time for a little office redo.
As much as I loved having all my party frames on display in my office, they were taking up so much vertical space that I knew could be used better. After a little measuring, and back and forth with Lauren Glass, I grabbed a third bookcase from Ikea.
I removed all my frames and the small credenza I had on my long wall and put all three of my bookcases there. Adding a third one increased my storage gave the other two a little more breathing room and added extra space on topper fun stuff. When I ordered the cabinet, my first call was to Shop Sweet Lulu to stock up on their small crates. They are the best form of storage in these bookcases. They hold a good amount, stack and if I am not using them they fold down. I also had to have this disco ball globe for the top, obviously!
For the short wall, I wanted to add a couch. I spend 99% of my time in my office so anytime someone comes in, there is no place for them to go. I thought a little love seat would be perfect. I had already grabbed these pillows so I knew they would be super fun in my office. Making sure the couch wasn’t just to be sat on, I grabbed this one for the added storage. This allowed me to bring in most of my Pearl and Jane garlands from the garage to make them more accessible.
Above the couch I created a little corner gallery wall. I didn’t buy any new art, just a couple more frames from target to showcase some of my favorite things like this No Boys Allowed print, some fun plates and the Party Piece from Nysha Lilly. I am in love with the look. I even snuck in some Taylor things and of course, my 3 latest party frames, I couldn’t let go completely.
All my backdrops and table runners are in these baskets which keeps them organized. We finished everything by May 1st and it is already a game changer in the way I am styling! Make sure you are following along on IG to see it in action!
