Tea for Two {Ray’s 2nd Birthday}

My sweet baby Ray turned TWO yesterday and we celebrated with a Rifle Paper Tea Party! I had SO much fun planning this little tea party for the girls and a couple of friends. You can see where all my inspiration started on this post, I loved all the saturated colors and it came together just as I imagined.

I did an invitation strictly for the memory book. I made it online at Paperless Post and printed a copy!

I kept all the decorations and details in our open dining area. I set the table to the nines with all the Rifle Paper Co. Party ware from Ellie and Piper and Suga Mama’s Bakery. I used every cake stand I owned and it turned out so sweet! I mixed the paper products with real linens and a DIY porcelain tea set to make it a little more sophisticated.

I also decorated the shelf behind the table with the drinks, photos of Ray and a giant balloon garland from Studio Pep. Filled apothecary jars with confetti and incorporated my Rifle Paper Co Chatbooks to really make the come to life.

I added my rainbow Pearl & Jane garland with the Rifle Paper ‘Tea For Two’ letters- and I LOVE the little pop of color that appeared in all the photos!

The Menu consisted of tea sandwiches, egg cups, and chicken salad sandwiches. For something sweet, unicorn fluff, Suga Mama’s macarons and mini bundt cakes. The bunt cakes were made with my grandmothers mini bunt tin which is special to me. I happened to have some Suga Mama’s buttercream in my freezer, so I colored that and piped the tops! I finished everything with some sweetapolita sprinkles to add a little extra sparkle.

Drinks were simple, lemonade and water for the girls (in of tiny tea cups of course), champagne, Rosè and Rose lemonade for the adults. I used some Chalk Designs By Me drink tags on ribbon to label the jugs. I added lemon slices and grapefruit slices to the jugs as well!

Dressing the girls up was my favorite part! I pulled colors from the party to pick the girls outfits! Their hair accessories really pulled it all together! I’m obsessed with Denver’s Wunderkin bow and of course Brennan wore a Fancy Free Finery felt flower. Ray’s birthday crown was custom designed by Little Blue Olive and it was quite fitting for the birthday girl! They all ended up in bathing suits playing outside! Dress and Onesie are from Gap and the floral dress is Zara.

Ray had the best day eating sweets, drinking tea and playing with her new toys.
