Essentials {with Pink Blush}

Back to school means all new clothes for your growing kids, school supplies, shoes, etc. But we need a little update too. For most the activities and errands get crazy, and school drop off and pick up is worked into the schedule. As a stay at home mom, I’m typically in sweats all day, so to have a few pieces I can throw on and look presentable is key. Especially because my body has changed so much in the past couple of months, getting ready is a bigger challenge than you think. I was gifted a few items from Pink Blush and here is how I am styling them for fall!

Starting with the basics:

The pieces I have collected from Pink Blush for the past couple of months are making the perfect base for a fall capsule wardrobe. These are NOT maternity clothes, which is fantastic for me, but they have options for every size! Although I will be wearing these items by them selves #virginislandheat, I will be imagining how I can layer them in a colder climate. I have LIVED in these dresses this summer and can’t wait to wear them into fall.

A. This Pencil clutch adds a touch of whimsy and a pop of something fun to any basic.

B. Velvet and Tourtise scream fall without being too heavy as we transistion into the cooler season.

C. Texture in your outfits adds the cozy feeling. Even thought this dress is knee length and short sleeve the ribed texture and golden color is perfect for the season.

D. A simple pattern like black and white stripe is a perfect blank canvas. Pattern is perfect for fall to mix with solids or a bolder pattern like plaid

E. Pick your solid color. Pink is an easy go to and mixes well with everything. I especailly love it going into fall mixed with deep purples and oranges.

Layering into an outfit

This navy dress is my FAVORITE. First, I love that I can wear a sports bra with it, it makes the heat a little more doable. It’s fitted, flattering and can be easily dressed up or down! The T length makes it cute with heels or flats. For me, its perfect if we have company come over and I don’t want to wear sweats but want to be comfortable. (Wearing a size Medium)

This longer striped dress is another favorite. It has double slits on the side so I can knot it in the front, it has pockets and a cut out in the back. I wore it simple with red lips and a top knot on the 4th and LOVE the way it looks with a denim jacket. The fabric is stretchy and light weight. It’s the perfect dress for anyone, pregnant or not, it lays just right! I love wearing my hair up with this to show off the cut outs on the back! (Wearing a size Medium)

These black linen shorts are EVERYTHING (similar style). I am obsessed with the paperboy waist, large pockets and breezy fabric. I pair with a fitted tank and can wear them with literally every color! They have the beach look so if I want to throw over a bikini for the beach, I can. To add extra layering I used a lightweight beach sweater over my cami. These are a staple in my wardrobe post baby, fitting me perfectly! (I am wearing a size Large)

Mixing these essentials with fall solids, other jackets and sweaters makes the back to school transition easy!
