It’s Christmas Eve and I’m spending it making my grandmothers famous pecan rolls. I spoke a little bit about them in this post, and I want you all to really know what I’m talking about. I thought I would share the recipe – and challenge you to make them for Christmas morning. You never know, maybe they’ll become a tradition in your household.
This year, I decided to try a MAJOR short cut and use Pillsbury pizza dough instead of making the dough from scratch. Mainly because I always have trouble with the dough being in the Virgin Islands & more than likely have to do it twice. This year, I don’t have time for that 😂.
I haven’t tasted them yet, but they look just the same, a little less ‘risin’ but it will work, and it was SO much quicker!! I needed more pizza dough (3 rolls) to fill the 9×13 pan, and needed the oven to be at 400 instead of 350. The topping was so easy and tasted just like my Nenes.
Spending the rest of Christmas Eve watching ALL the Christmas movies, cooking (and drinking) and anticipating Santa!
Merry Christmas
Xo,
Kelsey
