Christmas 2017

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope it was a fun relaxing holiday. Christmas felt different at our house this year, but it was wonderful. It was the first year without company since the girls were born. We spent so much time in the states recently, no one visited this year. But honestly it was kinda nice, no entertaining and all day pjs were totally acceptable.

Danny and I both had to work over the weekend, so he was gone a couple hours everyday, and I spent all day Saturday working on the beach. We had to try extra hard to make it feel like Christmas, but that’s not hard to do.

On Christmas Eve I baked Nene’s pecan rolls (see the post below) and Danny made a ham with all the fixings. We spent the day watching Christmas movies and finished the day with matching pjs and reading The Night Before Christmas.

Denver is still a little young to understand what’s going on but she was thrilled to see what Santa had brought. We opened presents, had mimosas and Bloody Marys and of course, A Christmas Story on repeat all day. Ham sandwiches for dinner and early to bed. Looking forward to ringing in the new year with some bubbly and lazy nights on the couch!

Happy holidays!

Xo, Kelsey

p.s. I put together a Chatbook of our Christmas, photos with Santa, Christmas morning, and all our month long festivities. They have the cutest Rifle Paper Christmas covers! Check them out!
