When we found out we were having another girl, I was SO excited to design a girly room for them to share! I’ve always had a bit of an obsession with pink flamingos so a tropical oasis for the girls seemed like the perfect theme. Of course, I didn’t need to get many things because I already had tons of tropical things in our home.
We started by searching for a bed for Denver, we already had all things baby so we just needed a few upgrades for our big girl. We found the Kura bed from Ikea which can eventually become bunk beds for both girls!
I really love the way it turned out, so many fun pieces… you may find me snuggled in Denver’s little bungalow!
We found this amazing bed from Ikea, it converts to bunk beds so eventually both girls can use it. My mom found some great bedding and stuffed animals from Target, as well as the flamingo bust, which I LOVE! The fabric is from Joanne a few years ago, it’s Tommy Bahama upholstery fabric, I had a lot of fun covering pillows and my Land Of Nod pouf. Above the I added Gray Malin prints. I wanted to fill the space with something tropical but serene and these umbrella and ocean shots are perfect. My hammock chair & the rug were thrift store finds, I talk more about the chair in this post.
I made the pompom throw blanket, bow holder, and pompom mobile. You can find both in my shop.
All in all I had too much fun putting together the girls tropical oasis, it’s now my favorite room in the house!
