I attended ALT Summit last year for the first time and it was love at first sight. Leaving feeling inspired, connected and at home with the women I met. It was an easy yes to go back in 2024, but this year I wanted more. I applied for many speaking and presenting options, and even though I was chosen to be a back up, I was able to participate in the most magical ways. So let’s wind it back and do a little Palm Springs recap!

Sunday
I got in late Saturday night, see everything I packed HERE. Bright and early Sunday morning I headed to The Saguaro. First things first, Reina drove up and we grabbed coffee and breakfast. I met her in person for the first time last year, but we stay very connected, so to have a day date was the best EVER. We chatted about all the things over coffee and toast with jam. She really kicked off my trip with a BANG and it was so fabulous to see her.

After brunch, I headed back to the hotel and started to see all the familiar faces. Familiar friends from the year before and socials were arriving and I was hanging by the pool getting the conversations going. Elise of Hip Hooray Studios was someone I connected with last year and have not only stayed friends with, but her and I are working on a VERY special project together. I linked up with my roomie Nicole from Art 2 the Extreme, handed out friendship bracelets and galavanted around the property for a bit!

Sunday night was when the event really begins and it starts with The Gifting Party! Instead of a traditional swag bag you might find at an event like this, all of the attendees get to pick and choose what they want to take home from a selection of vendors. I was HONORED to have been chosen as a vendor and was giving away The Guide.
At 4pm I headed up to the gifting suite and set up my table I packed a suitcase of 100 Guides, exclusive stickers. garlands, confetti and disco balls of course! I set up my table with time to spare, so headed to El Jefe for a pre party glass of bubbles. The line started for the party around 5 (an hour before the event), so we went up to shop a little early and mentally prepare for the madness. My FAVORITE item at the party was Ear Kit, a concept of mix and match earrings. I had found this brand on TikTok and she was definitely the HIT.

The attendees started rolling in at 6 and it was a total whirlwind. I was so honored when women were coming up to my table FIRST, or telling me they already owned The Art of The Flatlay. OMG so so surreal. I sold out of my Guide around 715 and couldn’t believe it. After gifting a group of us headed out on the town of Palm Springs and dinned at Trio.

The kick off of conversion and connection. Our dinner guests consisted of Marissa, Addie, Melody, Dani, Nicole and myself. Most of who I knew from socials but was meeting in real life for the first time. We had a fabulous dinner and headed back to the hotel, it was hardly day one and we were BEAT.

Monday
The first full day of the conference, we were up bright and early for breakfast by the pool. The opening key note speaker was at 9 am and we couldn’t miss it. We heard from Austin Channing Brown and boy, was she a power to be reckoned with. The was she spoke about her life and taking women with you in all walks of life was life changing.

Being that I had been to ALT before, I had some priorities of what I knew I wanted to do. Justin Hackworth was #1 on the list. For years he has offered free headshots to attendees, and not only are they free, they are FANTASTIC. He is so incredibly talented. You might know the photos from last year, because they appear as my IG profile photo and inside The Guide. So right before Austin finished speaking, I got up to sign up for his shoot. While we waited for our time slot with Justin, we took in all the things on the sponsored lawn. There were booths to get to know the sponsors, fun activities like making flower crowns, and even permanent jewelry.

We all had to get on the jewelry train. All us girls got our EARS PIERCED (yes, it was giving grown girl spring break and I was here for it). I also got a permanent necklace which I have been dying for. Marissa and I were sketched by Suze Cuts paper for the Garden Party later that night, then it was practically lunch time. After churros by the pool, it was time for Marissa and I to get to work.

House of Fete was asked to coordinate the annual Monday night party for ALT Summit, like OMG, so we had some work to do. The theme was Garden Party Art Walk, attendees were to wear the best florals and join the poolside party for art installations and seven live artists. M and I spent the afternoon building coatracks to display art work, and prepping and arranging florals in umbrellas. We fought with the rain for a bit, but it all came together beautifully in the end!

After a long day with lots of cocktails and no dinner, we took our crew (the core 4 + Brittany my girl from last year) up to the hotel in pajamas and ordered pizza. More chatting and connecting to end a fabulous day.
Tuesday
ALT 2024 had become quite the work trip so Tuesday finally felt like we could relax and enjoy. Marissa took us girls, plus Cassie and CC to The Parker for brunch. An iconic Palm Springs hotel where we had the most delicious brunch and filled a few hours of beautiful conversation. After brunch we played around with content and had too much fun playing around! I am still laughing at this video.

Tuesday afternoon we bounced around peeking in on a few talks and finding ourselves with new friends by the pool. Before we knew it, it was time to get ready for dinner. I was invited to a sponsored dunner with URL Genius at Copleys. Marissa and I headed to the restaurant to enjoy cocktails with 60 other women we might not have chatted with otherwise. We continued chatting and connecting over an amazing dinner and headed back to the hotel for some much needed rest.

Wednesday
Up bright and early for a photoshoot with Sarah. She shot my last year because she happened to be in Palm Springs at the same time, this year she was actually attending ALT so Marissa and I teamed up with her to take photos. We played with confetti, had a few outfit changes and ended up taking some fun photos in the room! I am dying to see the photos, it is always a blast shooting with Sarah. By then it was time to pack up and get ready to go.
ALT had round tables all morning but I had an early flight. Saying goodbye to my girls was so hard but the bonds that were made will last a lifetime.
ALT is what dreams are made of and I am already ready to go back next year, who’s coming with me?

Outfit Roundup

And of course I had to come straight home and make my travel flatlay!
