T minus ONE MONTH until Denver turns 4!
You all really seemed to like my party inspiration post for Ray’s Tea for Two party, so I wanted to do one for Denver’s Rainbow Christmas Party. I have been full on planning since September, and I am finally getting some of the things in the mail and working out the details.
When Denver settled on a Rainbow theme, I decided to put a Christmas spin on it. I was really inspired by the Glitterville bottle brush trees, so from there, I ran with the idea. (find my bottle brush round up here). All I knew was that I wanted a display of trees on our big shelf in the dining room, I also wanted to incorporate our table and create a party that would work in our home. I remembered the Mr. Boddington Christmas color story wrapping paper as well, I can’t wait to show you how I am using it!
I always start on Instagram, I go through my saved posts and create a new little inspiration board, then I take it to Pinterest. I sift through my 100000 of pins to get a vision of exactly what I am going to do. You can find my party Pinterest board here. I also used Love of Character‘s amazing new website, Set the Party, to decide how I wanted my table to look. It’s such an amazing feature and it really helps me get my ideas on to paper.
Another thing I have always wanted to do, is a gingerbread house decorating party, so I thought this year it would be the perfect activity. I got lucky that rainbow Christmas is a very popular thing right now, so I am finding all sorts of goodies out there, and as always, incorporating all my favorite small shops where I can!
Here is my little mood board I have been working from
Of course, Denver ended up requesting balloons, so I sketched out the scene, again, it really helps to get it out of my head and plan a little better!
Hope you enjoy seeing the behind the scenes, follow my instagram stories to see what is arriving and more details as we approach her birthday!
Here is her Land Of Sweets Party from last year!
XO,
Kelsey
