Finding inspiration {two weeks in}

Honestly I’m feeling really uninspired to blog, two weeks in with a newborn and a toddler and pretty much all I have to talk about is, breastfeeding, how hot it is, poop and… how hot it is (yes it’s that hot). Our first week alone went well but I’m loving the weekends even more now. It’s been really hard for me to let the things I want to accomplish go. There’s ALWAYS laundry to do (I swear the dirty clothes are reproducing over night), the dishes in the sink build, and my desk is a HOT mess with no organization. Never mind finding the time to take photos to link up with a post, unless I can just post 50 out takes of the girls in matching dresses…

On another note, this new routine is really helping me prioritize and put what matters first. Make sure everyone (including me) is fed, then go from there. It’s really hard for me to spend the girls nap time actually napping, which as a mom with a newborn that’s exactly what I should be doing. They always say sleep with the kids sleep, but am I supposed to clean when they clean, and shower when they shower?… I don’t think so.

This weekend was great, I’ve learned to do all my food prep & laundry while Danny is in the house, makes the week much less stressful. We even took our first trip to the beach as a family of four. Ray literally slept the entire time, I couldn’t even get her out of the car seat to take a photo of her and D in their matching swimsuits 😔. We played in the water and Denver danced in the rain, always nice to spend a few hours in the sun. Here are a few photos from the past couple weeks, mostly of baby girl (can’t help it), and as the fall months approach, I promise for a little more inspiration!

Who really need a clean house when you can stare at this face? Hope everyone had a good weekend.
