What a magical holiday season.
Our first Christmas in our own home, and everyone came over. We found out right after Thanksgiving that Danny’s parents and sister were joining us for the holidays. My mom and grandfather were already planning to come like they did last year, so it would be a full house. Since we bought a house in August, we gained an additional bed room and furnished in a way to hold as many people possible.
We spent the month of December taking our already very decorated home a step further. We added garlands, lights, wreaths and more. Filling every room with a little bit of Christmas magic. We even rearranged out entire living room to gain seating and sit around the Christmas Tree.

Dec. 22nd
My mom drove into town! She lives about 3 hours away so she brought all the extra things I didn’t want to make/bake. After she got settled she and the girls rolled gingerbread dough I had prepped and they decorated both gingerbread cookies and sugar cookies. We finished the night with a puzzle and Chinese food.

Dec 23rd
It was time to start Gmas Mostaccioli and put final touches on bedrooms for everyone’s arrival. Tim, Mitzi and Ali arrived around 2pm- I put out some snacks and we made cocktails. We had a BIG surprise for the evening.
At 5:30 a limo arrived at our home to load everyone up and take us to The Charleston Place. Every time we watch Home Alone 2 the girls think the limo is the coolest thing ever. The adults popped champagne, the girlies got a special soda pop and we headed downtown. The Charleston Place is completely decked out for the holidays. We went in saw a giant train set, took photos in Santas Sleigh, chatted with the big man on the phone and saw all the incredible decor. At around 6:50 we went out on the patio with complimentary hot cocoa, champagne and Christmas cookies and at 7pm there was a snow fall. The most magical experience EVER. We had the best time and came home to a few cheese pizzas to finish the night.

Dec 24th Christmas Eve
Poppop Arrived today in time for quiche and coffee! Most of the day was spent with the ladies wrapping, we set up a huge wrapping station in the garage with all the things, a mini heater and Christmas music. The Mostaccioli spent the day on the stove as we made cinnamon apples, I made ham and Swiss sliders with Grandma Summer’s Ham Sauce for lunch and we basically just waited for dinner. When the time was right we prepped the very colorful table with poppers, Mitzi added lottery scratchers and a very special gift for the kids and grandkids.
We ate, we drank, we laughed. Then it was time for presents. All the adults opened gifts and the girls did sister gifts! We read ‘Twas the Night before Christmas over zoom with California family and with Poppop!

Dec 25th
the girls were up at 5am, and sent back to bet until 7. Everyone gathered around the tree to see what Santa had brought, we ate pecan rolls with our coffee and covered the floor in a magical mess.
We had family friends coming over for brunch at 11 so we did a quick clean and set up for a christmas brunch. Playing with new toys and mingling. We had prime rib, salad, twice baked potatoes and cinnamon apples for Christmas dinner playing dominos to pass the time.

Dec 26th
Mom, Ali and Poppop left town today. We hung around watching movies, eating popcorn and playing games. We played more dominos and had Timmy’s Fleechgee for dinner.
It was really the most magical Holiday and I felt like I was living out my Plum Pudding perfect Christmas. Hoping this is our new tradition for years to come.
