Easter weekend recap!

Anyone else feel like St Patrick’s day was yesterday, and in complete shock Easter is over? Is tomorrow Christmas? I wouldn’t be surprised. The past couple weeks have been a complete whirlwind, but packed with tons of fun things!

We welcomed Danny’s cousin Tiffany into town for her birthday and Easter weekend on Wednesday! We had a packed weekend planned for her and it did not disappoint! Thursday was her birthday so I cooked up some special bunny pancakes and we spent the day on the beach! We took her over to St John on Friday to have lunch and spend some time on Trunk Bay. Its always fun to have a little getaway and go to another beach!

Saturday started with Easter festivities. Tiffany and I dyed eggs and got them decorated! We used classic dye, cool whip for a fun marble effect and finished them with Flash tattoos, they turned out amazing. Then, I put the girls in Easter outfits and we headed to Lattes in Paradise, a local coffee shop that always does the best holiday events. We had some coffee and the girls saw the Easter Bunny. They weren’t happy… 😆

From there we went on a little boat trip. We headed to Water Island and Pizza Pi (a floating pizza place). There was a Bunny on a kayak and an under water Easter egg hunt! We spent the day on the water, for some pizza and soaked up some sun!

Easter morning was filled with cinnamon rolls and Easter baskets. The girls were thrilled with dolls and new bows, and the adults indulged in all the chocolate. Then into our Easter best and off to the botanical gardens for an Easter egg hunt! There were tons of kids and Denver had a blast collecting eggs and eating what was inside as she found them! There were mimosas and bloody Mary’s for the adults and tons of eggs for the kids.

We came home for naps and Dippy egg, a Klos Family tradition, here’s how you play: each person gets a hard boiled egg, you go head to head, with one person protecting their egg and the other smacking their egg against the other. Whosever egg cracks, is out and the winner picks their next victim- it goes one until there is only one egg standing. Then, said egg is crowned Dippy King! Put on the foil crown and earn bragging rights!

We crowned Tiffany, Dippy King, ate more egg salad and Easter candy! Hope you all had a fun filled weekend!

Xo, Kelsey
